Due to the success of our Belfast site – doubling our headcount over the last year, we are now looking for experienced support and implementation staff to assist our existing technical team. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a fresh organisation, who are seeking to bring in an experience Service Desk Specialist to support and assist with implementations for production and internal environment. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING… No two days are ever the same in our company and it is a very exciting, yet challenging environment which will involve working as part of a 10 member team assisting clients with common IT related problems and providing 1st / 2nd level support to clients across the UK & Ireland. You will be involved with a very busy service desk and will gain exposure during projects and implementations. Ideal Skills and Qualifications:
- Dealing with common desktop and server issues, troubleshooting Microsoft and 3rd party Applications.
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Win7, Win 10, Server 2008 & Server 2012) to more than just a basic level.
- Excellent networking knowledge, the ability to program a basic router or fix switching issues.
- Production knowledge and awareness of Microsoft Office product suite - not just using it, but installing and troubleshooting common user queries and in particular MS Outlook.
- Installation, and troubleshooting of common ADSL queries and wireless environments.
- Mobile email for remote users with iPhone / Android / Windows Mobile troubleshooting.
- Local USB and Network based printer support to manage print queues
- Good knowledge and understanding of PC builds, motherboards, CPUs, memory, disks etc.
- Administration of Active Directory 2008 and 2012
- Excellent LAN/WAN and TCP/IP troubleshooting skills
- Willing to travel throughout UK & Ireland, work out of hours and weekends as and when required.
- HP Server, Desktop, Switch experience
- Windows Server & Exchange
- Support for VM & Hyper-V
